The original episode supposed to follow up the pilot...
was A Children's Story. But once it was filmed the producers thought it turned out rather weak and decided to put it mid season. Which makes for a somewhat strange conversation between Vincent and Catherine at the beginning of the episode since they already saw each other on a regular basis by that time.
