I get the beast part, but who's the beauty supposed to be? At least in the reboot, it's pretty obvious, but here...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because you ain't beholden, doesn't mean others aren't. I think Linda is pretty.

Obvious in the reboot? Linda Hamilton looked great back then and more natural and pure than Kristin Kreuk ever will.
