Why does Joe call Catherine "Radcliffe?" Did I miss an inside joke, or is it a pop culture reference I'm missing?

She went to Radcliffe College (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radcliffe_College - B&B is even mentioned in the pop culture references in the article!). It's a bit like the way we in the UK refer to David Cameron as "Eton Boy" - though Joe likes Catherine.

No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

I think it was an upper class college she went to, so he started calling her that :)
