was the kind of band that Jesse and the Rippers were supposed to be?
I mean sometimes Jesse will play a guitar solo that actually sounds pretty solid but then he will immediately start playing Do Wah Diddy which is 60’s pop music. He portrays himself as some kind of metal artist but then his song selection is mostly oldies and Motown.
The same thing confused me as a kid and as an adult.
What's also odd is his 60's "rock" band and crew were supposedly super, extreme tough guys, living life on the edge literally. Jesse riding his bike on a rooftop ledge, with his old hip friends egging him on.
Exactly, one minute he's trying to be Quiet Riot, the next minute he's trying to be the Temptations. Just pick a lane and stay in it.
