Rate The Bonding - S3 E5
This is an episode about death when the sudden loss of the ship's archaeologist leaves her son an orphan, the first part of the episode is really very good, I thought the way they talked about death, particularly Data and Riker, was very effective and Stewart once again shows his great dramatic acting chops when he has to tell the young boy his mother had died. The rest of the show deals with an alien entity who takes the form of the boy's mother with the goal of taking him to the planet, keep him happy, safe from harm. Even the inclusion of what I always see as silly Klingon customs doesn't much diminish this fine episode. 77/100
