Wonderful Film

A film of my childhood, it was a joy to watch it again. I grew up watching this film at least once or twice a year. It is only recently that I can relate to the film a little bit more.

The film makes me think of my Gran who is suffering from dementia. The film really highlights what dementia can do to someone, how they can live in the past and get confused. It is one of very few films that touches on the subject.

That aside, the effects in this movie, despite the time it was made are excellent. I always get absorbed into the story. It has a simple but effective plot. This film is a classic and does not need to be remade.
