I really want the Ernest movies to come to Blu-Ray. Is there that much of an audience to get this on Blu-Ray? Or is there a petition anywhere?
sharehahahaha good luck with that, this isnt exactly a best seller, amazon has 16 new dvds from $3.98, and 32 used from $1.50, aint nobody gonna shell out 20 bucks for this on blu ray!
shareProbably not sadly. I am amazed that they came out on DVD to begin with. Don't get me wrong, I love all the Ernest movies, but I never thought they'd make it onto DVD. Blu-Ray would be a miracle. As for me, personally, I want Hey Vern, It's Ernest on DVD!

Totally agree with eternal summer but hey, they surprised us when they released them on dvd maybe they will surprise us again by releasing them on blu ray when the prices drop a little. Highly doubtful though this is just one of those movies that will never be restored or anythng.

I guess there is more demand than all of you think. Hopefully, the transfers will be good and won't be void of extras. Just found this today.
Well like I said they might surprise us and look what happened. I wouldn't expect any extras in the egtc dvd since alot of the cast are deceased so it would bekinda pointless unless they put some deleted scenes in the blu ray dvd.

no way! i just bought a triple feature of camp/jail/scared for $4.99 and it has a 2011 copyright. there doesn't seem to be a reason for a blu-ray release unless there are extras. as far as demand, camp, jail,and christmas were pretty successful at the box office.
if they announce some extras someone please reply to me so i'll get a notification.

share@jsn_helms As far as I know,it's only Lyle Alzado and,of course,Jim Varney(Ernest) himself that are deceased from the cast and maybe an actor here and there who had a minor role in it,but the juveniles would be at least in their early 40's now,and that's not considered old in this day and age.
shareJohn Vernon who played a pretty important role as the main villain and Iron Eyes Cody who played the old indian are gone this kind of reminds me Ghost lots of the actors on that movie are gone as well.
