The Camp's location.

I know that since this was only a movie, that it could've been filmed anywhere, but i was always interested to know where either the camp's location was actually filmed, or where it was supposed to take place in the movie. Someone on this blog a year ago claimed that it was somewhere in Tennessee, which sounds believable, but i dunno. If i had to take a guess, it would be either Tennessee or Arkansas, i think. Not that it matters, i was just curious, considering I was and still am a huge Ernest fan.

This may be a bit late (2-3 years after you posted it :-P) but this was filmed at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, TN. I went there to a Dagorhir event with some friends last year, having never seen this movie (despite being a lifelong Ernest fan) and once I learned that it was in this movie, I had to watch it. It's kind of awesome seeing a place that I've actually been in a movie! And not just that, but apparently the director (John Cherry) is the father of a friend-of-a-friend. I've never had a connection to a movie like that before.

Anyway, I hope you see this reply someday!

Camp Marymount in Fairview Tennessee. I believe they also used Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson Tennessee as well. The scenes near the end where they are knocking down cabins doesn't look like it was filmed at Camp Marymount.
