I know exactly how you feel! There's no soundtrack releases for ANY Ernest film that I know of out there! I guess I understand why, though...
It'd be because the movies usually never had many band/artist songs in it as backing tracks, and also because people wouldn't really buy any of the movie's soundtracks anyhow, even if there was soundtracks out there, LOL!
Anyhow...
I'd really like to get that song too, and the "Brave Hearts" song by Gary Chapman (that's near the end of the movie, when Ernest and the boys are getting ready for the fight).
If I ever find anything of Ernest music, I'll let ya know! :-)

I love those songs!! The best way I can think to have a recording for yourself is to play the DVD through the surround sound, record it on your cassette deck, then transfer the song to your computer in wav format which you can burn to a CD. Quality degrades a bit when ya do that but if you leave it on the tape it should sound great save for a few snippets of dialogue.
Actually, the 2 BEST ways to do it would be...
BEST WAY:
1.) Buy the film on DVD.
2.) Burn a copy of the disc and copy the specific .VOB file with the song in it from the burned copy to your computer (because usually you can't copy .VOB files from an original boughten DVD disc).
3.) Rename the extension of the copied .VOB to .wav or .mp3 (forcing your computer to think it's now an audio file instead of video.)
4.) Open up this file in SONAR or some other recording program.
5.) Edit the clip to have just what you want (might take some recording/editing experience).
6.) Export final edit as an audio file-type and quality of your choosing.
2ND WAY:
1.) Buy the film on DVD.
2.) Rip the section you want to your computer using a DVD ripping program at highest quality you can. (Usually you have to buy a program, but there are ways around this, LOL!)
3.) Open up this ripped video in SONAR or some other recording program.
4.) Disregard the video and edit the audio clip to have just what you want (might take some recording/editing experience).
5.) Export final audio edit as an audio file-type and quality of your choosing.
I have actually done this numerous times with obvious great results. This is truly the BEST way to do it you could ever think of, because the whole process never lessens the quality of the audio, AND the whole time it being a 100% digital process!
Even if you do specific parts of the process at high-quality, but not the VERY highest you can (maybe because of limits in a program, etc.) you STILL will have amazing results because, to the human ear, you can't tell the difference between, for example, a 320kbps .mp3 file or say a 256kbps .mp3 file.
I hope I've helped anyone out there that was wondering how to do something like this! :-D

I found it on Limewire as well, but under the name: Sure am glad it's raining by Ernest P Warhol. A little tape hiss, but it is the recording from the movie. Good luck.
