I think Frank and Julia should've just bailed.....

......right after Kirsty found out everything. Even though Frank was still skinless, he still could've hid some where while Julia still provided victims until he was healed with out having to resort to taking his brother's skin, that's where they fucked up IMO. It was stupid to stay there with Kirsty on her way back with the cenobites, it didn't exactly work out for them did it lol?! All he had to do was wear a head covering and some gloves lol to hide his monstrosity, it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Killing Larry and wearing his skin wasn't necessary, Kirsty could've blabbed everything to her father but there's a good chance he wouldn't believe(who would?) her crazy story and they'd be long gone by then. I think things could've turned out differently.

reply

Yes it would of been good if they did that but at least they were in the sequel.

reply

Yeah but they were already in Hell in the sequel and pretty much blew their plan of escaping the Cenobites, so they are pretty much stuck in a rut and slaves to Leviathan now lol. Frank can't even fuck anymore in the sequel because Hell won't let him have any women if you know the scene I'm talking about! It really didn't work out for them sadly, IDK why but these were the only villains I kinda wished got away with it! These characters are too interesting.

reply

Yes I remember that scene, they were interesting characters. Claire Higgins is at Birmingham movie con in June can't wait to meet her.

reply

Really? I was glad that they didn't get away with it and each got what they deserved.

reply

Eh, I said kinda lol. I'm not saying I'm on their side but I can't help feel every time I watch it they could've avoided their demise. Frank should've been more patient instead of rushing Julia for another victim like that. Yes, they did get what they deserved especially Frank being teased with sexy women in Hell but he can't fuck any of them LOL. That was messed up!

reply

Ha! I see what you mean.

Frank was rotten to the core but also fine as hell. Lol.

reply

I was had a hard time accepting Julia's decision about Larry. After seeing her break down into sobs and saying she couldn't bear having Frank kill larry and standing her ground when Frank asked her again seemed too much of a change.I would have bought it if perhaps Frank did it when she was out looking for men and frank was impatient. That way the choice was out of her hands and it would not such a jump to the extreme.

reply

Julia wanted Frank's dick more than anything, she wasn't in a very rational state of mind in the first place after killing other dudes for him lol. It's really not that hard to buy in certain situations, I've known people personally just like this who are willing to fuck over anyone to get what they want despite how they feel about that person.....all that shit goes out the window! The flesh is weak. I totally buy it.

reply

But even after she started to like killing the men she brought home she was still dead set against using Larry. She freaked out and attempted to protect him against Franks threats. She then did a 180 and had no qualms about killing him.

reply

Like I said, she was desperate. She admitted she never loved the guy anyways(read the book, it goes into more) so it's not that hard to believe.....trust me dude, I've met back stabbing cunts just like her. I don't understand this 180 thing you keep bringing up, she acted like she didn't want to be there from the very start and seemed repulsed and annoyed by Larry through out the whole film......I don't see what she did was so out of character. She wasn't protecting him from Frank's threats, she's protecting Frank from being discovered by Larry and foiling their plans.....the scene where she doesn't want him to look in the attic during the storm and then (reluctantly)tries to seduce Larry says it all! She never gave a fuck about Larry. It made perfect sense to me!

reply

The book and the film are not the same. I am absolutly right and you are wrong. She was not in love with him anymore, but she still cared. She was afraid that once he discovered frank in the attic that he would be killed by Frank. She was seducing him as a distraction from going into the attic and meeting his death, a deaf blind mute would understand that. How the hell else do you explain Julia crying and pleading with Frank as he menacingly steps out the closet with a knife and starts skinning the rat as she is saying : "Please no, I cant bear it". Then in the very next scene with her and Frank, he is asking her to bring him Larry and she is answers him with a solid "I said NO!". You know many woman that bring there resurrected lover men they meet in a bar? She does not hate larry, she merely is disappointed with him as a lover and finds him square and boring. You might want to rewatch the film as your assessment makes no sense and you are avoiding major factor that invalidate your position. Step down and Stop acting like an expert and show some humility.
