Despoiling the rich biyatch

The contrast between life on the yacht and life in the backwoods with the yokels thereof keeps the story from being one-dimensional. Both Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn were in their prime, even though Hawn was 41 during filming. She's a fun girl and looks great in a risqué one-piece bathing suit and, later, jeans. Roddy McDowall is his usual entertaining self as the butler of the yacht and Katherine Helmond plays the rich biyatch's mother.

The plot is predictable and, yet, you want it to play out the way you know it's going to. It's nothing great, but it's entertaining enough and almost inspiring in that it makes you believe in the power of redemption for anyone.
