Am I the only one who didn't like the F-bomb scene?

I personally thought there was no need for them to have Steve Martin's character cuss up and down to the rental agency clerk, if it wasn't for that scene this movie would've gotten a PG/PG-13 rating and I think this movie was more meant to be a PG/PG-13 rating film than an R rating film.

I do love this movie but I didn't think the F-bomb scene was necessary

Actually, no.

My dad also doesn't like it. In fact, he doesn't like it so much that every year he tries to find a TV broadcast so that he can watch the TV cut even though he has the DVD.

I'll never understand why this scene is such a big deal as it seems like something that anyone would do in that if it were to happen to you. Looking back I realized the "F bomb" scene was necessary because it's the scene where Neal Page finally snaps and loses his cool.

It was over the top and unnecessary...

Which is why the punchline lands perfectly.

When she looks him dead in the eye and says, "You're F'cked" we all laugh because he did go too far and she didn't deserve to be treated like that.

It's great.
