Needs a better DVD, for sure.

"Lean on Me" and "The Principal" are both fine "lone hero in a troubled high school" films, and they both received ridiculous barebones DVDs from their distributors, with a pan and scan transfer.

I saw the back of the R1 DVD case for this film, and it claimed that "The Principal" was remastered in high definition for the DVD release. Surely they could've made an anamorphic widescreen transfer, right?

It's truly disappointing, because I'd actually buy both on DVD if they were ever given a proper treatment. Maybe the future Blu-Ray discs will be better..
