Swap the jury


I know this film is far from accurate, but is it okay to swap the jury like that?

No its not for one thing you would have to get the new jury up to speed on the case & besides this was a federal case the other was a state case.

wasn't the other case a divorce/family court? I didn't think they had juries for any courts other than criminal or civil.

as far as I know they don't for divorce.
I recall a English film which did have a jury for such a case but some of their laws do differ

The jury actually WAS swapped for the Capone trial. Unlike the film, the jury tampering was discovered before the trial began.

At the start of the trial, presiding judge James H. Wilkerson said to the bailiff: ""Judge Edwards has another trial commencing today. Go to his courtroom and bring me his entire panel of jurors; take my entire panel to Judge Edwards."
