Richard Griffiths was only 39 years old when filming! Unbelievable. He played the old b****** brilliantly.

I only realised this last weekend, I'm 43 now & still think he looks late 50s.

Fair play to Mr. Griffiths, great acting!

That surprises me, but he was overweight, even obese, and that can make people look older.
