This show was RACY sometimes!!!

For a so-called "family" program, it had its naughty moments.
Like when Wendy was dating this nerdy type guy, and slides her arm around him and says "So, what's your pleasure?"
And when she yells "Want to massage my thigh?!"

I just thought some scenes were quite daring for a spinoff of practically squeaky-clean "Growing Pains".

Anyone agree?

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

Yep, I agree--I remember that my parents, at the time, found it too racy to even watch...so I only remember bits and pieces of the earlier episodes.--sorta like the downward spiral Step by Step took later on...

I was 16 years old at the time when this show came out and I did not find it racy at all! I loved it and tought it was great to watch! If you want racy then you should have been watching Married With Children. Now that was racy for its time and I loved watching that show too!

I was 9 or 10 when this show as on, and I liked it. I watched Married With Children weekly, so by contrast, it wasn't that bad.

But compared to most "family" sitcoms, and being on TGIF, it could be pretty racy and foul, which was part of the reason I liked it.

Like the priest saying "stop, and get your hands off that that slut!"

Or that whole thing about stamina in bed and oysters.

For some reason I remember this line about skipping periods. The mother was telling the father that one of the girls skipped a class period (only she mentioned period alone). The father responded by saying about her being pregnant (in horror) and the mother clarified she meant a class period. Pretty tame by today's standards, but I can see how people might think it was racy.

For the time period for a family sitcom, yeah it was at times.

"That was the sickest thing I've seen on TV, and I watch Dance Moms"
