Poirot brings bad luck (and death by murder)

Great series and adaptation, the best.

Is it possible that wherever he's hangin out there's a murder in the air?

I understand he is called often to investigate a murder. If he's not, if he's at a party, on a trip, on a cruise, wherever he is, there's a murder, either right next to him or in his proximity. It's like a mountain attracting thunder.
I could never accept this, it makes him unrealistic and the whole writing improbable. Not to mention, all these murderers had to wait for the greatest investigator in the world to be around the area to commit their murder. Amateurs.
