What is your favourite incarnaton of Rimmer?
For me I liked the anger-less geography teacher we meet in Polymorph, "Just think of me as a facilitator"
shareI like that too. I always like Rimmer on the Holoship. He's mostly very mature on there, romantic leading man, and the part where he turns nerdy is funny.
shareAce is fun but you know that if you met such a person in real life, you'd want to punch him after a few days. Rimmer going mad in Quarantine was fun too.
Seeing Rimmer do the right thing in Holoship was a nice moment.
Possibly his greatest moment except for his speech to Lister in Bodyswap.

I'm not sure if that's true. One of his main traits is his empathy - note, for instance, how he compliments the Cat on his outfit because he knows that's the most important thing in the Cat's world. If you spent time with him, he would quickly pick up on when you need some space, and find some reason to be out of your hair for a few hours.
So this is permanence, love's shattered pride.
What once was innocence, turned on its side. share
