Why have they taken it down?

They want ppl to buy the dvd? which I've noticed is overpriced for Series 9

You mean the three parts of Back to Earth? Isn't it widely available on YouTube anyway?

Sometimes the new Dave channel success has increased interest in old episodes people haven't seen. So they raised the price of back to earth. But you can skip it since all the other seasons basically do!
