UNCUT VERSION

The fully uncut version is roughly 101 minutes. I have this version copied from a German VHS tape (in english with dutch subs). From my knowledge the full uncut version has not been released to DVD. I own three of the DVD versions and none have the footage, R1, R2, and R4 discs.

Scenes that were cut:

When leaving the first dog town where Kitta lives, dog boy is left in the desert because he cannot walk, there are extended dialog scenes here.

When the team is on their way to Red City, they are stopped by Red City guards in some weird hover vehicle, they are forced to kneel and pay tax to the Red City kings.

All of the battles have more blood and brutality.

Extended dialog in some scenes.

Alternate Ending:
After the big match in the Red City, Kitta decides to stay. You see scenes of her living in luxury.

Sallow and the remaining team go back to the dog towns and you see them with a new quik (who was still credited in the cut version, check the credits). There is some dialog here and then they meet a jugging team and film ends.

All these scenes extend the film about 10-12 minutes.

If anyone wants to discuss this film you can email me dee_cypher@hotmail.com or post on here or better yet, send an IM.

I always had hoped Kidda would overcome the lure of the decadent Red City and leave with Sallow. I know. Silly but true.

But thank you for letting me know what I missed out on the long version. I would like to see it. But as a fan of this film since I saw it in the theater I'd watch anything about it.

Why wouldn't they all stay? It seemed like at least 3 of them were accepted there. Only Sallow and the girl with the busted leg might not be.

"He married her six weeks after the... previous sequence."

The uncut version has been available on a Region 2 DVD since April 2007: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000H1QQJG/.
