The scene where the royal assistant Oha starts randomly singing after the Queen is revealed is my favorite part of this whole movie. The Queen-to-be's introduction was so extravagant and loud, everything goes silent, Oha steps up, and sings a minute long soul number. When the royal family came to Queens I kept thinking he would have another funny moment but it never happened.
"Welcome to the party pal!!!"
When me and my family watched this for the first time together, we laughed our asses off. I always thought the entire scene including the dancers and Akeem's conversation with the "queen" was hysterical.

The best part of that scene was when the king comes in and says:
"Ah....I see the two of you are getting along"
As if that's some kind of normal thing to happen at a royal wedding. Hilarious. James Earl Jones as always turned in a phenomenal performance. As did Madge Sinclair. She's a gem.

I always thought that his high pitched voice was supposed to suggest that he was a eunuch.
