Street date is January 27th. Buddy cops, zombies, and Vincent Price! Look forward to it, but am cautious when it comes to buying Anchor Bay dvds. I've purchased a lot of defective dvds from Anchor Bay. Fingers crossed this time...

I have not seen Dead Heat and therefore I want to ask somebody that has seen it what they think about it.
Is it worth buying on DVD and what about the extras? (I have read that it exists as a divimax special edition.)
I read on "altered versions" that it was cut from an X to an R, is there any changes between editions, is the DVD uncut or does it contain deleted scenes? Is it violent and how violent? Like really great 80's action violence?
Any other movies that you can compare this to? I mean when it comes to the cheesy fun of a buddy-cop movie with zombies from 1988. Is it still well made or has it aged?

I did a long time ago and it was kind of good, Joe Piscapo was great and Treat Williams played his character fairly serious, good action, good special-fx and the deli-scene was FANTASTIC!
