Lar Park Lincoln stated in the book that she and her husband wrote a script for Part 8. In the script, Tina was a psychologist helping teenagers. Jason comes back, and I assume we would have seen another epic battle.
Sounds a tad like Dream Warriors.

She didn't say they did, but it was implied.

"Teens who had been through what I had been through." Or something along those lines.
