Halloween 4 director says he would love to make a direct sequel to H4

Considering the greater appreciation for ‘Halloween 4,’ many fans are clamoring for more Rachel and Jamie, particularly a direct sequel to your film. If that would ever come into the conversation, would you do it?

Not only would I do it, I’ve actually pitched it. You keep [Rachel] alive and follow through with Jamie and Rachel. Ellie Cornell is alive and well, and living on the east coast. And I just worked with Daniel Harris, and she’s a doll. I think that’s a great movie. I think they should call it ‘Halloween 4: Part Two.’ Just be upfront about it and say what it is because that’s what it would be. In my own opinion, more than a TV show, I think that would get a lot of attention.

Please, for the absolute love of God, NO!! Just leave it alone and stop beating a dead horse with this franchise that's already been beaten into the ground

reply

I'm not going to lie, I would LOVE that!

reply

Just don't watch it.

reply

Why?

reply

If the director can find a hot up and coming actress who rocks thong panties and boasts tits just as scrumptious as Kinmont's were here, I'll shell out a few nickels on such a sequel, once it hits the multiplexes

reply

I can't fault this.

reply

Because I loved Halloween 4, and I hated the way Jamie's story ended. If they can get Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell back, that would be cool. I think with a good script, and a good story, it could be good.

reply

I wish they could do a multiverse with the Halloween franchise. This way we have 2 Michael Myers characters on the loose. Maybe Rob Zombie can direct it too

reply

What a great amazing idea. Especially to involve Rob Zombie. He's nothing short of a cinematic genius. He's like totally the Martin Scorsese of horror movie film making. Can you believe that John Carpenter completely left out the back story as to why Michael Myers was so evil? It's like, dude, don't you know that you have to humanize the monster, so he gets some sympathy? I for one (and I know I am speaking for most when I say this) am so glad he was able to fix the mess that was John Carpenter's creation.

reply

Would they use CGI to make them look like they did in 1988?

reply

Nah, it could still be 2024. Just have it be where Jamie was locked up after part 4 with no psychic connections.

reply

I don't get it folks.. Just end this and come up with an original idea, please??

reply

Dream on

reply

They should've ended this after Halloween II after the operating room blew up and Michael walked out and collapses and burns up.. The End & the credits roll up the screen with no mid-credit scenes either

reply

I take it you weren't a fan of HIII: Season Of The Witch

reply

Eh, not really. Not because it didn't have Michael Myers, it just wasn't a favorite of mine. I did like it better than 6 and Resurrection, though.

reply

Season of the Witch was interesting.. I think I saw it only once though in 83 when it came out.. It was Ok

reply

I like the idea of doing a bunch of direct sequels to each individual sequel, all at the same time. We can have 11 different Halloween franchises all running simultaneously. Also, restart the Halloween 2018 franchise and make a new new NEW direct sequel to the original.

By "like the idea" i mean I'd rather shoot myself.

reply

IF DANIELLE HARRIS IS BACK...I WOULD WATCH IT....EVERYONE ON THIS THREAD ACTING THEY DIDN'T EAT UP THE SEQUELS WHEN THEY WERE BEING RELEASED...VIDEO STORE VIPS...GROW UP AND LEARN TO DISLIKE WHAT YOU ONCE LOVED...SO WEIRD.

reply

Where the hell has he been in the last decades?

There's already Halloween 5!

reply

They ignored 4-6 when H20 came out, and then ignored ALL the sequels when 2018 came out, so they could do it again.

reply

Yes but making a sequel to Hallowen 4 when there's already Halloween 5, which is the direct sequel of Halloween 4, makes absolutely no sense.

reply

That's true, I suppose. Well, instead of making a sequel to Halloween 4, if they want to do more Michael Myers stories, what about a TV series? His life leading up to that Halloween night in 1963, and then his years in the hospital, to when he escapes in 1978? Other than that, yes, they should let the series go.

reply

A TV series might be a very good idea, like the Chucky TV series.

reply

I have yet to watch the Chucky TV series, I might have to add it to the list.

reply

It's surprisingly excellent!

The only downside of it is that lame and annoying gay agenda.

reply

How about you just re-release Halloween 4 with a better mask digitally added.

reply

That and if they edit in some topless footage of Kathleen Kinmont. Two flaws ironed out.
