This movie would have been even more amazing if David Lynch were the filmmaker instead of Scorsese. Lynch’s style would fit really well especially with the cosmic/supernatural elements. Also it’s interesting to note that Willem Dafoe, Harry Dean Stanton, and David Bowie all have appeared in his films as well.

shareYes, just watched it for the first time in a long time tonight. It is one of my favorite religious films! I recently received a theology degree so I understood the context of the film more accurately than previous viewings when I was younger.
