I was just thinking that Jack screwed himself out of $100,000 in the end. He could have taken the Duke's $300,000 (a gift, not a payoff) and slapped the cuffs on him again and taken him in. That would have been another $100,000 from Moscone.

Yes, he could have and then the movie would have forever been known as the single most Satanic in history.
