Why no love for Smooth Criminal?

Smooth Criminal is a vastly underrated (an so is 'Human Nature' btw) and I daresay its in the top five of MJ's post-Jackson five songs. Yet no one seems to bring it up when talking about MJ

SC > Bad, Beat it

And I'm going to go ahead and say it because it needs to be said. The dance sequence in this movie is IMO superior to the dance sequence in Thriller.

I pretty much agree with you.

Intelligence and purity.

I LOVE Smooth Criminal, best song and I loved that video a LOT more than the Thriller video, he was so damn COOL in that one!

Nostalgia Critic said it best

''Thriller revolutionised music videos but Smooth Criminal perfected it''

I watched the music video on YouTube long before I saw Nostalgia Critic's review, and it's the 2nd worst MJ music vid I've ever seen simply because I couldn't tell what was going on. But still, "Thriller" is not only the worst MJ music video I've ever seen, but also the worst music video I've ever seen period; there's WAY too much dialogue for my tastes, the special effects are worse than sub-par IMO, and the zombies don't even qualify as second-rate for me. In fact, the only cool part (even though it scared the bejeezus outta me) was when MJ turned into a werecat.

I agree with OP. The dance routine alone *beep* all over anything before or since. Though the dance segment in Remember The Time is close.

Human Narure was indeed underated. It was'nt even released as a single, rather it was just a b-side!
Does anyone have or know a link to the original human nature song that michael based his version on. Because originally it was sang and written by someone else!
