in theatrical version.did old toto look happy to you?

he seemed to be very sad..
He might be a successful director, but that didnt make him happy. It made alfredo happy. In a way, toto lived the life alfredo envisioned. Not the life toto wanted. What a waste of totos life.

Not at the beginning but after he had his closure with Elena he was, especially after he saw his last gift he fit from Alfredo. Sure Alfredo was wrong for at some degree taking the decision for Toto but I think he really loved what he did. He truly loved films and he smiled at those kissing scenes.
