Just saw Cinema Paradiso for the first time (btw, it was the Director's Cut). It has now become one of my all time best movies.

Anyway i guess the question is obvious, but i couldn't find a post.
Is Salvatore (in the movie) Federico Fellini??
I guessed that because of the "name change". His "Di Vita" last name (la dolce vita). And also the constant remarks that he has been with many different women.

I just wanted to ask before i'm not 100% sure.

I don't think so, I would say it's more autobiographical, so I think Salvatore is Giuseppe Tornatore.
