Does anyone else find this movie too deppresing to watch?

Its not so much that is a bad movie. I've watch much worse and still enjoy them (Jaws III anyone?). However, Heather's trajic and utterly preventable death following the movie's completion, plus the patheticly rushed reshot ending; just makes me too sad to enjoy it at all. I'll stick with the first to movies and hope that the new Poltergeist In The Shadows movie due in 09 with overshadow the overall sadness left by the third movie.

Not really. I watch Poltergeist III since I was a kid, and I never related Heather's death to the making of this movie.
And I didn't know the ending was a reshoot because of her death, back in those days, I thought that's how the ending should be since day 1.

Anyway, now that I know all of this, I'm already used to the movie. It's sad and curious, but not depressing in a way I can't watch.

it is sad seeing her in this moving know that she died shortly after shooting it.
