That is merely your opinion.

I loved it and would like to recommend it to anyone who loved the first one, but have a tissue near by near the end!

LV,

I must agree with you, I love the follow up film as did my daughter. She thinks it was even better than the first, as Jim finally gets to ride "the stallion".

I enjoyed this one, but I didn't like it as much as the first one. I felt like the plot line was stronger in the first.

The first one was great so it was always going to be hard to pull off another fine performance. However I enjoyed the sequel. I also thought the plot line was stronger in the first movie.

Your opinion would carry some weight if you would express some specific reasons why you didn't like the sequel. Otherwise, your statements carry no weight at all.

I thought they were both great movies.. Both of them are alot better then most other horsemovies.. IMO.. So i recommend it to anyone who loves horses and especially those who enjoyed the first..

I totally disagree with the OP. I loved both movies. They have many things in common (horses, beautiful cinematography, same lead actors), but they are also different in character. The first one was poetic, with young Jim proving himself as a man, without actually fighting with anyone, and the love story develops nicely. The second movie has a lot more action and thrill, particularly toward the end. At the end of the first movie, Jim leaves, with a promise to return. In this movie we see what he did during his absence, he is a grown man and he and Jessica are finally together. They have to fight their enemies, however, and there are some losses. What I loved about the sequel was the way Jim finds a way to use the stallion, and in the end lets him go. The part where his horse Denny dies and Jim makes 'friends' with the stallion is beautifully done. The cinematography is stunning and the main characters are well developed, including Harrison. He is not a mean person and he truly cares about his daughter, and she loves him too. It really came through in the sequel. I loved Tom Burlinson's performance in both movies, and the horse riding was fantastic in both.
