When the first ghost appears at the part with frisbee the dog, a pivital point to him. He says he left claire for frisbee tbe dog but in reality because of that show he became head of the network so leaving claire for that was smart. Yeah he was a jerk but head of the network was a goid job. At ghe end he gets it vut he is still head of the network probably.
shareWell the whole Frisbee the Dog thing shows how far Frank was willing to go to utterly humiliate himself just to gain power. It wasn't something to be proud of and neither was dumping the one pure thing in his life (Claire).
shareYes, of course it was a choice he made which gained him a great career....but the whole point of the film is to show that career success and personal success are not always one in the same. Despite his success in his job, he was still a miserable bastard with no real love or warmth in his life. That's what he gave up (in Claire) to have that job where it was lonely at the top.
