They're credited as The Solid Gold Dancers. I had to look that up to see if that was a real group or not.

Interesting find -- looks like a revival group

The solid gold dancers were pretty popular back in the 80s when there was a show called "Solid Gold" with Marilyn McCoo.

The show was supposed to copy American Bandstand by bringing in pop artists to sing their latest hit top 40 song while the dancers were dancing behind the singer in the process.

They would also dance during intermissions for the audience.

They always wore very elaborate costumes during the show.

If you ever youtube it, you might see some scenes with the Solid Gold Dancers and see what I'm talking about.

At the height of their popularity the producers obviously decided to get them in this movie. As you can see, before the scene, the dancers would dance as an introduction and then move on. Very much like the show.

When I first read your post I thought it might have been actress Chelsea Field but it's not. I just remember she was a dancer on Solid Gold from 83-85. She had a strange curly perm. It's hard to tell who the woman was because they had a lot of blondes.

She was STUNNING.
