How is this only 6.3?!

6.3 say what? This movie is a solid 8. Just great stuff all around. When I saw it was Bill Pullman's birthday this movie came to mind instantly. I came here just to see what the message board comments are all about and I see the 6.3 score... Doesn't change anything about this awesome movie for me but I just wanted to say that score surprised me.

I gave it 8 if that helps. A very good movie. The best voodoo -movie I've encountered.

Same here-I was surprised at the low score. I gave it an 8 but admittedly don't know if it's aged badly, as I haven't seen it in years.

Still a good movie this is a unique movie people were expecting flesh eating I guess

Horror is always rated low. A good trick for me is adding a full point to the IMDB score when I see it's horror. I'll watch anything over a 5.5 (=6.5). Isn't 100% but I've seen some really solid horror films that are rated very low on this site.

I'd say that is a fair score. I gave it a 7/10. Maybe I just wasn't in the proper mood but I wasn't overly impressed. It was an okay film but nothing that really blew me out of the water. It wasn't terrible but Wes Craven has made a lot better.
