You see these 2 guys there? 'Yeah.'

They wanna take your books away! (horrified gasp) LMAO!

reply

LMAO, OMG I remember that!!!

I havn't seen these films since I was a little kid, I really need to buy them!

reply

What's even funnier is that Johnny and Fred elude the security guards by... simply leaving the bookstore. Guess those guards were absent during the How To Find The Front Door part of their training!

reply

Lol leigh_not_lee youre cute

reply

Oop... all that time elapsed and I hadn't been back to this thread. (another horrified gasp) Thanks, snowfairy!

reply

AHHH. That part always makes me die. I watched this movie when I was like 8 and then just a few days ago and it still made me laugh just as hard as the first time I watched it.

reply

"Two excellent books! May I have these, craphead?"

I also die every time he says, "Benjamin, so this is your housing, domicile, flophouse?"

I love Johhny 5!

reply

What scene is this and when does it happen?
I watched it on HUB and I'm pretty sure it was not there.

reply

This is the scene when he's in the bookstore. He makes a mess around the store and approaches a desk, saying to the clerk "Two excellent books! May I have these craphead?" Fred approaches urging him to come with him and guards are coming toward which is when he asks "You see those two guys down there?". This is when the books line comes in.

The scene comes just after Fred takes Ben to lunch to keep me distracted from his plan on selling Johnny.

Maybe Hub cut it out.

Definitely not on the HUB showing. No bookstore is shown. That must be where he gets the books he has when the police chain him up?

Did you see this scene on the DVD or another TV channel?

reply

Yes, he gets those books from the bookstore.

Yes, it's on the DVD and usually plays uncut on movie channels like Encore or Starz. It's not a deleted scene or anything like that.

Looks like they cut the Fred/Ben lunch scene as well.

reply

This is the scene, if you're curious.

Cool.
Seems like a family/children's station would want to leave a scene in that promotes knowledge through books.

reply

Yeah it doesn't make sense as to why that scene would be cut. No, it doesn't add to the story, but it's a funny scene. No real reason to cut it out, I don't think. I'm more surprised that beating scene wasn't cut due to it's violence. I've heard of stations cutting that scene because of it and then suddenly Johnny would be beat up when before commercials, he was perfectly fine. Strange, but it is understandable considering the scene itself.
