ive never seen the first, but have known since childhood that this IS the movie of the pack, and that i shouldnt even bother with the first. and ive talked about this with friends, and they've agreed...all saying that they havent seen the first and dont even bother to see it bc nothing could be better than the 2nd.

Same here. I finally saw the first one when I was 9 and I didn't care for it at all. I guess seeing part 2 first, and watching it so many times had something to do with it.

Its actually really hard to say one is better than the other. The first one at heart is a sci-fi movie, the second one at heart is a comedy. I guess it depends on which genre you like better. Personally, I prefer the first one. In the second one id swear j5 is really overacting and his voice is way too high pitched.
