Personally the only film in the series I have seen is Sleepaway Camp III, but I know all about this. Not long ago immitators starting putting crappy DVD's of the films. Nothing is cut but they just suck. If you want to buy the movie "Sleepaway Camp II", go with the Anchor Bay version 100%. They also have a box-set of the three films and a booklet in cool packaging. Not only are both 2 and 3 UNCUT but have a lot of bonus features (thats right, bonus features, on these films!) such as cut gore effects, commentarys, and more. Sleepaway Camp 1 is the only one that is cut but for the most part it's good.

Individual "Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers" DVD by Anchor Bay:

Sleepaway Camp Survival Kit box-set:

If you choose to but the box-set, Best Buy copies have a bonus disc of production footage of the never-made Sleepaway Camp IV. I hear it sucks though and I plan on getting the box-set soon. I want to see Sleepaway Camp 2 and see 3 again! With bonus features!

None of the films on the box set are in their true uncut form, the first is heavily edited in several spots, and the 3rd is just butchered! The second one seems to have fared the best, adding back in some nice gore bits etc. The deleted scenes are on the DVDs, but only as bonus features, and sadly, even though the footage is there and in decent quality, they aren't integrated back into the film itself.

All that being said, the Survivor Kit (Until they release them they way they were meant to be anyways.) is still the best way to get your moneys worth. The bonus features and the deleted scenes alone are worth the price of the set, and the quality is wonderful.

If you want to see the original (uncut) Sleepaway Camp without the cuts present in the DVD version and you don't mind the loss in quality there are bootlegs out there on DVD, one of which can be bought at WalMart of all places! The DVD is ripped directly from the media Treasures VHS tape and while quality is poor it is uncut.

Sorry this response is so long, Ive been spending way to much time on the Sleepaway Camp website lately. Lol.
