They seem to like the idea about a teenage girl doing it with a 30 to 50+ man. Maybe the writers have some kind of fetish for it.

Well, you know MOST middle-age men have a "fetish" for 18+ girls with perfect breasts. But I don't think they were the target audience of this movie in 1989.

But I'd say they were going for COMEDY here. Obviously, this is pretty unlikely to happen in real life. I also suspect that since Michael J. Pollard was the biggest "name" actor in the movie and they couldn't afford to really pay him, so maybe they gave him a "bonus" here?
