I published a book on the Sleepaway Camp series that's a collection of essays written about the characters, themes, and connections to other slasher movies. It's focused a bit on the original but covers plenty from the sequels. I actually might read it. Hopefully it covers the sequels in depth because I actually prefer them to the original.

If you prefer the 2nd and 3rd to the original, than your tastes run more towards black comedy rather than horror.
