I just looked at the alternate versions and it says that the new Region 1 DVD is supposed to contain all the violence that was cut from the Survival Kit boxset. Does anyone know if this is legitimate? If so, what does the cover look like? Did the whole trilogy get a new release without trimming scenes?

well in teenage wasteland, the lawnmower scene was cut to buggery =( and that was in the box set with the hand print on the front.

Yeah I got that one, it's a shame the 2nd was bloody as hell and didn't hold back at all, this ones quite mild compared to the 2nd.

The part 3 DVD has deleted gore footage on it. I remember seeing a much gorier version of the girl on the flag pole.

The region 1 Anchor Bay dvd (survival kit or single edition) is edited. There is however another cheap full frame region 1 dvd that could be the uncut version mentioned, but apparently the audio and picture quality is awful.
shareNo it's 100% definitely cut.. my definition of uncut is fully restored with all the footage that was removed by the censors put back in like with Silent Night Deadly Night.
I have the UK Anchor Bay DVD which is the same as the region 1 & both only contain removed footage as extras.
These movies were pretty much doomed from the start when Anchor Bay released the first movie & 'supposedly' used "the wrong print" which was cut... but that's just rubbish IMO because the rest all suffer from the same treatment this one got.
Censorship is so lame especially in this day & age with far more extreme gore getting cleared for uncut release on DVD... like all the Lucio Fulci movies just as an example. And also some of Savini's handy work. Honestly i don't see what the problem is.
