I'm watching a Letterman repeat with Jonah Hill as the guest, and he just said that for his 14th birthday he went to a restaurant in L.A. called Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles where they serve, of all things, chicken and waffles.

It is indeed a real restaurant. I was out in LA visiting an old pal a couple of weeks ago, and we ate there late one night. I'll definitely eat there again on my next visit.
shareUnfortunately,I live in Redding and can't eat there.:( I want to rent "Roscoe's House Of Chicken and Waffles." i hope it's good. I'll look for "Tapeheads" in Hollywood Video.The first time I heard about chicken and waffles was in the movie "Swingers."

shareIt's not just a restaurant, but a restaurant chain. Presently they have 5 locations: Hollywood, West Los Angeles, Los Angeles, Long Beach and Pasadena. I've eaten once at the Pasadena location, first and only time I've ever had grits. The chicken was okay; I prefer Popeye's.
shareI hope I get to eat in Roscoe's someday. Why are the waffles in the "Tapeheads" music video brownish than the ones in the restaurant chain? There's also a movie about a Roscoe's.
