Why isn't this film more popular? It's comic genius. Tim Robbins is even better here than he was in "Shawshank Redemption." And Cusack, always wonderful, is spectacular here. Perfect casting. It's simply a mystery to me how this didn't end up in the top 250. Possibly the most underappreciated film of all time.

I agree; this film is laugh out loud funny. But you have to see how much ridicule they are throwing at the subject matter. It is not really that subtle, but much of it plays straight if you don't see the wink.

Tapeheads is currently available in the 'Free Movies" section. Just showed up a few days ago and I've already watched it twice. Probably the first time I've seen it since the early 90s. I was shocked at how many lines I remembered and actually anticipated. My son watched it with me last night and was amazed at how much I remembered. He now wants to learn the hand slap/foot kick routine John and Tim performed at the beginning of the film.
