Judy Winslow
My apologies if this has been asked before, but why did they write out the Judy Winslow character?

shareLots of reasons she was good looking but that is not going to get you far in life she had no personality she was shy and she had poor social skills, Laura was a extrovert she was outgoing and talkative this is why the girl that played laura lasted 9 seasons her personality saved her from being fired

Sigh... Again with all this blaming Steve for Judy's disappearance!
They still had room for plenty of other characters, while Steve was the break-out star:
Waldo, Maxine, Lt Murtaugh, Myra, 3J...
But it seems like Judy simply wasn't that interesting to the writers.
And it was later revealed that the actress's mother was demanding and obnoxious.
So that would have been yet another reason for why the character was cut.
They simply had no idea that people would miss her and still discuss it on the internet two decade later.
