Is Snowball II a male or female?

In tonight's episode Homer called it "her" but it was a male in the last Halloween episode. And Lisa calls it a "she" most of the time as well. Bart also referred to it as a "she". Which is it?

Why does Best Buy ask for your ZIP Code when you buy batteries? I don't know

I've never had Best Buy ask me for any personal information when I bought batteries or anything else. I do remember that Radio Shack used to ask for your phone number when purchasing items there. But they don't ask anymore.
