Why don't Chalmers or the kids of Springfield Elementary like Skinner?

Is there a particular reason why they don't?

reply

Cause he's the principle an authority figure and viewed as the antagonists to rebelling youth. I'm guessing superindent chalmers views skinners as a dork.

Skinner with his crazy explanations,
The superintendent's gonna need his medication!
When he hears Skinner's lame exaggerations,
There'll be trouble in town tonight!

reply

"The rod up that mans butt must have a rod up its butt." Chalmers on Skinner.

I don't think Chalmers necessarily hates Skinner its just that Skinner is such a stiff and a square, and the school is a mess and Skinner always has these crazy explanations.

The kids who always get in trouble (Bart, Jimbo, etc) don't like Skinner because he's the authority figure that punishes them. The good kids just think he's an adult dork.

LOL!

I just love the episode where Skinner invites Chalmers to dinner, sets his kitchen on fire (among other things) and comes up with one excuse lamer than the others.

But Skinner isn't really a bad guy (sort of an odd fellow) and he does steam a fine ham.

Cause he was the one who fell on his chair there

reply

Because he's NOT Seymour Skinner, but an IMPOSTER named Armin Tamzarian.

Chalmers was ok with Skinner. Only time he flipped out at Skinner was when something went wrong with the school, making him shout “SKKINNNEEERRR!!”

The kids didn’t like him because most of them, like Bart, were troublemakers who didn’t like Skinner’s rules and demands on discipline. Lisa got along with Skinner most of the time, no?
