I'd think finding actual human remains trumps all the weird things Ray, Art, and Mark witnessed the Klopeks doing. Of course there wouldn't be a movie if they did the logical thing. It's just that it sort of destroys the notion that their accusations were unfounded and paranoid until Werner Klopek admitted to killing the Knapps and then tried to kill Ray.
