A Treat At Woolworths (for uk posters)

was at Woolworths the other and by the audio bar their selling a cheap-ass 25 movie martial arts box set, didn't scan through 'em but the first movies on there are none other than Best of The Best and Best of The Best 2 (which isnt released on it's own for 2 weeks).

the best thing about it is....

£5 for the lot!

get down to your local woolworths and check it out.

Best Of The Best 2 also restores footage cut from the fight between Phillip Rhee and the Asian ponytailed fighter in the previous UK video releases. Now reinstated is the Asian guy's use of two silver nunchakus.

woolworths? damn I havn't heard that name since I was a kid. I used to go there all the time. then maybe 15 or 20 years ago they were gone. didn't know they still existed. I wonder if they are still the "cool" store I thought they were back then. I'm in USA BTW.

They went out of business about three years back, just before Christmas.

Round these parts, they were auctioning off a lot of the stuff, just to clear all the stock, but you just couldn't move, full of people trying to get a bargain.

I managed to pick up the latest Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda for the nipper, £5 each on Blu Ray, which was quite cheap at the time.

My local Woolworths (poole, uk) is now a bit like a pound shop, but they do Pic N' Mix!

Woolworths still have a website, but it's with completely different people
behind it, pretty much just using the name.
