This was a great movie until...

until the monster showed up. The actors were also really good and believable IMO. They should have never shown the monster or just shadows of it in the water. The monster/sea creature just wasn't believable and moved like it wasn't real. I'd love to see them re-edit the movie without showing the creature.

I know what you mean, it felt like the first half was about the technical procedures and challenges of living and working in such an environment and managing their project, and then the monster just kind of turns up in their base and it gets all stupid. Could have made for a good disaster movie without any kind of monster stuff required.
