Shout Factory

Any chance this, and the original might see new life with Shout (Scream) factory releases?

reply

No, it belongs to Lion's Gates and they don't licence their films. But there is a chance it will be part of their new blu-ray line which is sure better than getting the crappy new cover arts treatment of Shout! Factory.

reply

Shout includes the theatrical art on the reverse of the bluray sleeve. They literally do this for every single bluray they release.

I believe you're referring to Vestron Video's Colector's Series right?

I actually did hear from my old roommate in college - he's a big movie buff like me - that the rights of the first "Fright Night" will be transferred back to Tom Holland, the writer and director of the first one, in the next 2 or 3 years. If that's true one can only hope that he'd approve a Scream Factory release of at least the original, because heaven knows if there's a film that deserves a special edition it's "Fright Night"!
