Fright Night 2 on AMC, Saturday, Oct 27th, 3:00am

Every once in a blue moon those with channels like HBO & Cinemax lucked out were able to DVR Fright Night 2.

Well, for the first time in what has to be since I was a kid, Fright Night 2 is gonna be on basic cable.

AMC, which is 67 for me here in Seattle. Saturday morning at 3am.

Oh, and for those who want it in HD, check out ioffer.com, you can probably find it there. I have it in HD on my DVR, and I know there's a million people out there who've been able to take it from there DVR and put it on a DVD-R.

dvr'd it but i already have the crappy vhs and the OOP dvd i also got a dvd-r bootleg of the widescreen hd version as well, But who the heck has the rights to it and why havent we got a new dvd or even a blu-ray release?

reply

Seriously! How about a blu-ray maybe!?

I also DVR-ed this AMC broadcast.. watched it last night.. couldn't believe how gorgeous the HD transfer was.. I've only ever seen this on VHS & my crappy pan n scan DVD.

Someone put this out on blu already!

I saw the DVD transfer and it looked just like the VHS. So when I saw that HBO was airing it in HD about a year ago, I thought I might as well record it for convenience sake, so I didn't have to bust out my VHS.

But how, the HD truly is gorgeous. Very vibrant. It's awesome.

Honestly, if there was gonna be a time for them to re-release it would have been when that terrible remake came out. Hell, that only prompted a short run of the original on bluray, which you can get on amazon for like, $200.

I was like the HUGEST fan of the original Fright Night as a kid and anticipated seeing this sequel in theaters...unfortunately, not a one showed it during its initial run (bummer), so was relegated to VHS, then eventually the DVD (which wasn't much of an upgrade from the VHS), and NOTHING ELSE...until yesterday, when i FINALLY got to see it in glorious widescreen and HD...FANTASTIC! Those pan & scan scenes seriously hurt the film, so cool to finally see the original director intent!

Didn't Lionsgate take over all IVE/Artisan's library? If so, come on Lionsgate!!! At the very least a re-issue Widescreen DVD/Blu Ray! I'll BUY, ya here?

I DVR'd it, too. Just starting it tonight. Was Halloween that long ago? Unfortunately, I don't have AMC HD, so it's chopped & screwed aka pan & scan.

I recorded it on my DVR when it came on, but I just saw my stupid DVR deleted it for space and I can't recover it. I thought if it ran out of space it just wouldn't record the new show, didn't know it would delete it without telling me. It also deleted the Rolling Stones PPV concert I paid $40-something for. I'm about to toss my DVR out the window.
